I NEED TW's Help... 2.5" or 3"

So this weekend i will be doing the very first mod on my truck. Im going to add a coil over lift. I just can't figure out if i should do 2.5" of 3". I will not be adding an aal, or block to the rear. I will also be adding Cooper sst mudd terrain 285/75/16 with helo wheels. Whatever you guys decide goes. So wich do i do?

I know originally i only wanted a 1.85 lift but because of the wheels and tires i have to either do 2.5" or 3"

 

If you have the tsb rear springs you can go 2.5" up front and still be level. With non tsb i wouldnt go beyond 1.75. unless you like the a$$ draggin prerunner look?

I'm running the same tire size, I rub like hell at 2.5 go 3' with a 2'aal.

 

The STT's are sick. I've only had mine on for 2 days but I'm real impressed. Great street manners, minimal vibe (for a mudder) and minimal hum (for a mudder). And they look sick, no complaints.

 

im getting the cooper st way excited. looked into the st-c which look awesome but not available in the size i want

 

I would go 2.5 in your situation or lower. What Coilovers are you getting? Mine are set at like 2.5 or so. I have Kings. even with the TSB the front is slightly higher. if you go 3 I would recommend getting UCAs.

Sorry but you do need to get the rear lift!!! I have Downy3" front and OME rear 5"

 

I have Toytecs coilovers in front with 1.5in rear blocks. No TSB springs and my truck is about 3/4 inch higher in back. The coilvers are adjustable but I just left it at factory setting of 2.5". Love the ride quality. Your truck may not look right without a rear lift, especially with a load.

 

OCtaco....Do you have the TSB?

 

why not fork out a few extra hundred dollars and buy an aal for the back and do it right the first time? Otherwise even at 2.5", your truck is going to look pretty funny.

If you must do one of those settings, do the 2.5" so the truck is not too uneven. But my vote is too buy the aal for the back and set it up right.

 

Agreed...Go Big or Go Home!!! Save the money then and wait.

 

True, and an AAL is only goint to run you like $60 to $100. Install should be an extra $80 if you don't want to do it yourself.

 

I would go with the 3" its the only way you will fit 285's! I personally think the taco's with the 3 inch lift and 285's look awesome! Mine has a 3 inch lift with 265's if you want to see if its what you want.

 

You will need to get control arms if you go with the full 3"

 

I have my icons set at 2.25" on the front with a 1.5" aal in the back, and its sits completely level front to back.
