Ahhh... I get it now. Less syllables. Like saying "struts" instead of coilovers...

What kind? Domestic or mobile? This determines which size hammer is needed.

I've had a lot of trouble with that one.

    I've always pronounced it "Wherethefuckisutah."

I was wondering if this would cone up. In the Pacific Northwest they could tell you're a CA transplant if you say 'the 5'. They religiously say 'I-5'. A very predictable difference. You can set your watch by it.

I have this discussion all the time as a SoCal transplant lol. Freeways are objects/places. Placing an article ("the") before the freeway number is grammatically correct to clarify that the speaker is not identifying a quantity of something. I.e. I'm taking 5 (...5 what?) or I'm taking the 5 (Oh, cool. I prefer to take the 101). However, saying I-5 is also correct, as that would be its actual name.
