Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
I was looking at a camp grill and all that fun stuff till I came across the Scottle. I can see it replacing any cooking equipment that any one has in their set up.

Had a little fun the other day checking out some future camping spots. This place is only about 35 minutes from the house. I stayed on the main trail as I had the family with me and no other trucks. Batter safe than sorry.

That's the firestik door jamb mount. fits nice, good ground, and no contact with the tailgate.

Thanks. Contact with the tailgate is what I'm afraid of (bears too, a little... Lol). There were complaints with some other mounts, that they chipped paint.
Is there a chance you could snap a couple of pics how you installed it?
    Thanks again

Be aware, I think the contact / no-contact issue is truck by truck. I have the same mount and it hits, chipped the paint, started rusting. I think it's hard to know while the truck isn't moving though. Mine clears fine just sitting, but clearly there's contact. Might be when moving, might be when wheeling and flexing. Not sure, but be aware...

Thanks for your input! Yeah, that "wheeling and flexing" might be doing a biggest number on it... Back to the drawing board... Lol

I picked one of these up. This picture is horrible, but it would mount to your bedrail. I haven't installed it yet. Also, I think @ragofabrication makes a mount similar to the Firestick, but if I'm not mistaken, its for the driver's side only. (I need passenger)

Awesome looking truck! I've got a silver DCLB and am looking at camper shells right now. Which series from ARE is yours?

Tell me about that frontmost roofrack. Where did you get that? What was the install process?

I made fried rice on mine this weekend and had no issues to speak of.
With pasta, you can cook your noodles at home and have no issues. So I don't see where there would be a problem. Just have to approach how you fully cook your meals. Cook what you have to at home.

Pre cooked noodles? Well it just sounds like a skottle isn't for you. Carrying pots and pans along with burners and what have it seems to be up your alley.

One pot. One skillet. One griddle.
    One 2-burner Coleman.
One BBQ grill. (Only taken if needed)

Car-camping I cook full meals. We eat good in the woods. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, oatmeal... steaks, brats, ribs, brisket...

Yep we probably eat better camping than we do at home. 2 burner Coleman and a Coleman Roadtrip grill it folds up flat, runs off a regular camp stove gas bottle and we sprung for the carrying case. Pretty cool grill and they have cast iron griddles you can use in place of the regular grates.

Behold. My long road trip through the woods cooking station minus this awesome little antique cast iron pot that fits a double can of baked beans perfectly.

I get a costco pizza for trips when I get gas. I large lasts me 2 or 3 days :).

This thread makes me wish I was in the mountains with my Tacoma.
