This is rediculous, everytime I put gas in it I have to put fuel stablelizer in it now. Ethanol fuel is the dumbest idea ever. O yea forgot if you have a fiberglass gas tank your completly screwed bc it breaks down the fiberglass.

Don't offer it at the marina, and did haul it down my huge ass hill for like half a summer in gas cans but it was just to much of a butt to deal with

The tribal casinos in my area all sell ethanol free gasoline. Plus, it's about ten cents cheaper per gallon.

I didn't have a problem with my boat last year... mercruiser V8 5.7. I bought gas from a local BP all summer

I actualy just went and cranked it yesterday, all we did this winter is put a heatlamp under the engine for the below freezing nights. Didn't winterize at all. I walked down to the dock, let the boat down in the water, turned the key and it cranked like it had been running all day long. Didn't need to charge the battery or nothing :D

Have you considered a fuel filter and or fuel/water separator? My engine has one on it. I looks similar to an oil filter.

@ about $4+ a gallon. Marinas are a rip off. 48 gallons total on my boat. I think a couple of cans of sea foam & gas from a local station is what I will do.

Several older engines can not use any fuels that contains alcohol. Eg. Certain fiberglass tanks, mostly manufactured prior to 1992, will decompose from alcohol.

Fortunately newer outboard engines (past 5 years) have been designed to be more compatible with alcohol fuels.

Ethanol free gas stations are becoming more popular every day. A list of ethanol free gas stations is being compiled at Pure-Gas.org and features ethanol free gas stations listed by state.
