If everyone is going to be spread out (different camp sites, cabins, etc) i think it would be a good idea to set a rally point where people will meet for the runs, include the days and times and difficulty of trails, doesn't have to be that detailed, maybe just an specific place to meet the go from there...or are we just gonna wing it?

Big time. My only rule at Harlan is that once the drinks start at night, the keys get put away for that reason.

There was a group of woods buggy guys that went out for one last run at night after some drinks. Guy tried to hit a hill climb and ended up not making it to the top. Went tumbling back down and my friends heard him screaming from camp. They found him sans one arm with a broken neck/back. They had to tourniquet his arm and put him in the back of a 4Runner and cart him out to the base camp to put him on a lifeline helicopter. Last we heard, they couldn't reattach his arm and he was paralyzed from the chest down.

The place demands some serious respect

Everyone, except those in the cabins, will be at campground #2. That's probably going to be our meeting point, or wherever Bill decides. This is his show.

Meet @ campground #2 where most all will be camped.

I'm looking to take a group out for a Friday afternoon/evening run, then a Saturday morning (9am) all day ride. Maybe a short saturday evening run...maybe not. Then a Sunday morning ride to one of the look outs to watch the sun come up. Then home. Will depart from campground.

Saturday morning trip will be a good bit of red trails. Would recomend experienced drivers and not for totally stock trucks. Going after something a little challenging. Anyone who gets in line for the saturday ride....don't be upset if you drag skids and sliders...again....this won't be alll easy stuff.

All other rides will be predominantly green/blue/easy red.

The ONLY thing I have a time set on will be the Saturday ride. Line forms up @ 9AM. We'll roll very soon after that. Plan is a LOOOOONG day getting back to camp near sunset. Everything else we wing it. May limit this to first 10 to 15.. Large groups aren't the hot set up on these trail. (Difficult to pass other groups you may meet)

There will be people there by mid day wed. Wed/thurs rides are spontanious...and up to the participants.

Tent Campground/area is on the trailhead. Cabin campers will have to pass the camp area to reach trails.

@Bluegrass Taco what time do you think you will leave camp for the Friday night run?

2 schools of thought. 1, maybe around 3 or 4, and back around 6 to 7.

2nd choice would be 6 to 7 and back in around 10 or so. No set plan, just looking for what the majority want's to do.

I like night wheeling, but not extremely late. My internal clock still operates on a 4am to 9pm awake mode.

    Thoughts?

Fact or fiction? 2018 Ridgeline? Seriously?
