That looks clean compared to what mine looked like when I replaced it!

Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
Insulation is now pretty much done, and i've squeezed a fair bit of "Great Stuff" EPS foam into the hollow windshield support beams.

I also installed a roof wiring pass-through bulkhead onto the roof, and ran additional power/grounding wiring through, for 'future needs'.

The wiring bundle running down the driver's side A-Pillar is somewhat impressive - and i still need to run an additional harness down for the console wiring.

Moving onto figuring out how to mount up the new Arb console... a compact switch pod arrived today, that i hope to be able to adapt in part or whole, into my Arb console changes/customization.

Pressure wash first then rag and soap water. Once dried polished best i could on inside of frame. Usually polish outside frame 2 times a year but first time getting underside cleaned.
Pain in butt but it needed it. Used fluid film over past 2 years but will prob tiy amsoil hd metal protector this winter. It sprays on and dries to wax film

Just applied my amsoil product to winterize the trailer and truck. I didn't do anything the first winter I had her. Second year after reading so many threads i did fluid film, but then I saw the amsoil stuff and switched to that. I spray the frame, shocks, leafs, sliders, skid plates.

Curious why “great stuff”. I’ve only ever heard of that stuff retaining water and rusting your body panels from the inside out.

Changed a few things today. Took my custom decal off the tailgate and replaced with a simple black trd emblem. Put the beadlock rings back on the wheels. Swapped the chrome tacoma door emblems for factory black ones. And replaced the rear shocks with bilstein 5100’s to match my front ones  next up, bigger tires0EAC097B-3998-4C87-8C99-228F9F050217.jpg6FDBE0D1-A367-4910-A593-91B4C5701E51.jpg

If that is the case, then i am well and truly fucked.

I used it on the windshield overhead support beam, which is hollow and non-accessible for matting. I am chasing down a self-inflicted wind-rush issue coming from the roof windshield/roof transition.

The moisture retention issue did cross my mind - but i considered it worth the risk for peace of hearing, applied into an internal beam that is protected from the elements and primary rusting factors.

Today was a good and bad day. Started with an oil change. Crawling around underneath I noticed trans output seal leaking and some u-joint seals are cracked.20171018_094405.jpg

Attempted to trade it in on a Tundra, got offered $5500 for mine. Needless to say I walked on that "deal".
