I ordered a set of DDM Tuning HIDs for my wife 's Camry despite all the negative stuff you read about them. They are going on 4 years strong without as much as a hiccup.

 

i feel like shoving the equivalent of 80w in what normally is 20w cubes is a means of burning money fast

 

The other thing to think about is to make sure they aren't a funky size, so if they are crap, you can just slap a reputable brand in the hole.

 

Heat is definitely an enemy to longevity.
