Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Lots of goodies coming to the MT now.

Cleaner AF.
Throttle response per gear enhancement
Some cam timing changes
PE crossover ( power enrich ) changes
And some more.

Plan will be same as AT with 3x 91 and 3x 87 maps with A B C throttle settings, which I've been working on the last few hours

 

But there's no Like X 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 button on TW.

 

Kudos for giving up your truck and driving 6+ hours for not only your benefit, but for all of us MT owners!

Boom... Mic drop.

You now notice what the AT probably masks very well. The bog when letting out the clutch from a stop in first gear was absolutely unacceptable on the stock tune. It was downright dangerous especially if you are trying to pull out into traffic. No amount of right foot could correct the problem until you got above 10-15 MPH.

If you have found the cause and fixed the rev hang a bunch of other people mentioned I will eat my words. I honestly never noticed it, but I'll take all the improved throttle response you can muster.

 

If there's one throttle setting for linear/no delay, I won't go any further! Don't need throttle amplification personally, but some may want it!

 

This "little" 2GR might be getting a lot of bad press WRT low end torque because of this. The 2GR I had in my RAV 4 had no such problems.

Edit: Well if he finds/fixes the rev hang, it'll be transparent to you lol

2nd that, i swore i wouldn't touch this tune if rev hang was not completely eliminated =excellent=
ovtune is it possible to kill the DFCO to give the option to try,i understand this will drop fuel mileage but i believe it will add smoooothnes to drive.
specifically in stop and go traffic below5-10 k. toooo much lash in these trucks and is traction control a function of ecu, default off would be nice.
any benefit to buying tune now with the delay

Long time reader, first time poster. I've followed this thread since it began, bought the tune, and I'm now trying to use it but having an issue with PCM flash.

I see other have had this issue, but the fix seems to be load the drivers and try again. I have drivers loaded and I can see the Guardant dongle in windows device manager, but PCM flash still shows "USB dongle is not accessible (0)". I've restarted PCMflash several times, the laptop several times, removed and reconnected both usb dongle and usb odbc connector. What am I missing?
