Just replace the U-joints. I have never done it before and it was pretty straight forward.

    1. Chock wheels
    2. Jack up the rear
    3. Mark where the drive shaft and rear differential meet so you know how to line it back up
    4. Remove the drive shaft from the rear differential via 4 bolts/nuts
    5. Unbolt the carrier bearing
    6. Slide out drive shaft
    7. Use needle-nose pliers to remove C-clips from U-joints
    8. Tap out U-joints with hammer, socket, and extension
    9. Now reverse order
    10. Put truck in neutral if it helps to spin the drive shaft to fit back onto the rear differential

The grease over flows out of the caps. Be VERY careful when removing the caps to slide them into the yoke. The needle bearings are a bitch and a half if they fall out.

You may have slightly different U-Joints. I just grease mine, and there is a small bleed hole (approx 1/32") on all 5 of mine. I would take pics, but not for someone who is such a dick.

I grab a pic in the morning. Maybe it was the housing.....I'll check tommorow when it is light. I'll even take a picture. First I had even seen of this. And I've been under a lot of trucks.......
