It annoys me a bit that the hourly employees who make less than I do on a 40 hour week can make more in the end by working a few hours of overtime here and there. I work whatever it takes to be satisfied with what I accomplished and don't expect an extra dime. But, I'm not sure I'd like going back to punching a clock. I haven't since I was 19 and I enjoy the perks (mainly some flexibility) of being salaried.

That is correct - according to LEER it's rated to 250lbs... My thought is if I make an H-frame brace that is mounted on the inside and outside... if that would reinforce it - not entirely sure about the sides though...

I'd be worried about the sides. I've seen some overlanders create a complete rack system inside the cap to support the roof down to the bed.

I vote for adding a rack over the cab of your truck

That's how it worked for me in my previous job in my company (Lineman).
When OT was wide open, it was time to line the pockets. We made about $40 an hour, then time and a half for the next ten or thirteen hours, depending on time of year, then after that, it was wide open at double time. Holidays were double and a half.

I used to work a lot of Saturdays because if you racked up the hours during the week, it was all double time. Hard to pass up, but after so much, It does get old. Made a lot of money for a good stretch, but family life suffered and tax man loved me.
After 33 years, I switched jobs due to injuries. Less money, no OT...but no stress and callouts. All good for the next 2 years till I retire.:D

I drove and wheeled with my rtt on a regular height cap once and started making a bed rack version as soon as possible the tent up their makes the truck feel very tippy and it’s no fun in the woods not to mention it feels like your dragging a kite on the highway. I mounted it on a custom bed rack so the top of the tent is cab height and now it’s unnoticeable I love it. 05131FFD-4F90-49A3-9CD8-0050054B5CC6.jpg

    I did a thing today...

Sold one of my Berettas that I NEVER shoot and took some of that money and flipped it into a TRD Pro Grille for what I think was a really good deal. Planning on putting in the tailgate vinyl inserts and debadging when the grille comes in.

I love my pro grill, spent too much for it, but totally makes the truck. Went from braces to blacked out.

Certainly is. I have the 92A1 (bump in the night gun). The 96 was the only .40 I owned and I didn't shoot it enough to justify keeping it.
