Definitely seems like the quality of the locals children(or more so the training they receive) that they hire. All discounts I've been to have done their jobs just fine. Especially on these wheels my buddy just painted.

DTD and DT are basically different companies, he'll get no help from them.

Yep, I asked for the owner of this locations information and I was told he lives an AZ and owns 900 locations and wouldn't give me his information. Not that I'm surprised.

Yep I'd advise against Discount.. Kids simply do not have the experience and do not care. I dropped off a brand new set of Scs wheels and watched a manager take a brand new wheel out of the packaging and drop it straight on the face of the wheel and act like nothing happened. And than when he pulled the truck out I counted 26 1/4oz weights on a single wheel to try and balance it out.

LOL no need to be that drastic. I'm mainly posted to vent my frustration. I'm sure this can happen at any tire and wheel place. I just wish it had been handled in a more professional manner by their staff, and having to go further with this situation within their company to try and get it resolved.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was pissed. They ended up issuing me check for the cost of the damaged rims and I got to keep the rims.

Great. This is exactly the thread I didn't need to see the night before I bring in 5 brand new SCS Ray 10s to get new tires mounted at my local Americas Tire (aka Discount Tire) tomorrow morning. Maybe I should take some pictures of the wheels still in the boxes. Good luck OP.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I'll say they do have some great prices and I have bought tires from them but always had all mounting/balancing done elsewhere.

I would stay on top of getting a hold of someone to get those fixed or replaced.

Discount tire direct is great. Now the local shops they use for service that's another story. Find a local tire guy you trust and keep em

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Had this happen on my S2000 at a Honda dealer. They scratched all 4 oem, curb free rims. I sued the dealer in small claims court and they not only bought me new rims (which they refused to do) but also paid court fees, suit filing charges, sheriff fee for delivery of the subpoena, and for another shop to install the tires. I'd tell them in a non threatening way you expect it to be resolved to "new" condition or else they will be served.
