Apparently blasting heater and pressurizing cabin could've saved me @tacoma16 was talking about it
But then I wouldn't be able to get out lol

Ah thats a really good idea, positive cabin pressure to keep air going out those holes instead of water coming in o_O

Might work for a bit while you :burnrubber:

Blasting anything works great. On the ones I’m worried about I do it. Put the ac on full blast and give er shit.

    seems to be the case.
unless you stop you don't usually get water in the cab. But every time I go through water I get nervous of it getting sucked into the air intake. Having a snorkel is just for peace of mind.

I just don't go in water that deep. The highest water I've been through was up to the body line on the door. That's about my limit.

Now I will be getting a snorkel down the line for the added air filtration it gives the engine with that turbine on to, seems to be to a good idea for the type of shit I do.

Take care of the lift first :)
You might not need the snorkel after

sometimes you don't have a choice lol.

There was one crossing we did when doing the south trail that was pretty deep. We got through it safe yes. But watching peter go through it in front of me and how it was just about to the top of his 33s was a bit nerve racking.

I agree I wouldn't want to go in much deeper water but sometimes don't have much of a choice. Hell where Ryan got stuck in that water crossing would have been game over for me. Had he not been on 35s and such a large lift he'd have water in the engine too. He was lucky it was the driver side that dove down and not passenger.

Besides they work good for dust too.
Even the water crossings at minden can get pretty deep. And leaving you go nose first into it. Haven't had a problem yet. But I'd rather not need to run the risk of said problem too. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I usually use a stick or something to check how deep the water is and feel out the bottom. Snorkels just aren't for me.

That was such a nerve racking episode haha.
    Clay really bothers me though.

That was also a short water crossing. Was talking to Dan today, the ones in Concessions are much longer and equally as deep.
Again I'd much rather not take that risk.

Not like I'm the only one with a snorkel lol.
I'm sure @Taco-Can @Theicemedic and @tacoma16 would say the same that having it is definitely peace of mind while going through water.

    what's yours dialed up to?
    2" or 3"?

I think mine are actually only 1" for my truck lmao. The 3rd gens are 1" higher from factory so them coming preset as a 2"lift might only net me 1"

I am set on 2.5", but then I have all the armour and a tow bar and my fat ass bringing me down to 2"
Now, since I took off all the armour, truck nose sits funny

Tomorrow is the day for the rear 5100 and new stock leafs! :bananadance: and other repairs...
