Just be careful Mike and monitor the wound site to see if the infection is spreading . how I found out my knee was infected was increased heat / skin temp in the area suspected of a MRSA / Staph infection

After the medical discussion last night I was sad reading it, kept my peace and tried to stay out of it. I am considered Cadillac coverage by the IRS and pay taxes on my coverage. They get you one way or another. But being at the number one ranked hospital\clinic in the country don't mind it so much. We are spending more than $20 billion yes billion over the next 10 years to make Mn. a destination medical center. With good reason. But why just us, how come every place can't provide the same quality of care? Wait 40 minutes for your medical record holy cow don't get me started. I watched them save my sons life more than half a dozen times the first year he first had advanced stage IV cancer.

And it is back. He moved in with me last weekend as I was trying to go grouse hunting. Was a heck of a time but worked out. And will hopefully in the end. But he is now in the "system" and being seen by State providers. It chaffs me to no end what he is going through and the lack of personal and directed care.

I have no answers and have to be careful as to what is inside information and protected. But quality of care can be measured and ranked. Don't want to get too much into it because it is after all political. The previous administration pretty much caused everyone to do a 20% decrease across the nation to keep the lights on yet still provide the same level of care. Our CEO has implemented QA measures across all levels and we use all of them. @vssman knows what I am talking about. Even Joe Shit, or Jane Shit the rag person can stop a medical procedure where I work if they think something is wrong. Which is rare in the Medical field, but it works. People listen to you and care about the patient first.

It is my wish that everyone has the same quality of care that I do, at the same price. Across all of America. Not sure how that can be done though do know if the government is in control it will not work. We have a lot of patients that come down from Canada. Just saying...

As always words or wisdom. Yeah I have been to a lot of the National Parks and still have the PBS series on the history of the National Parks on the DVR. Once you are retired and I am too wouldn't mind meeting up with you at some of them. And most others on here of course. But would really like to punch every one of the National Parks off the list.

So if they are trying to make MN a "destination medical center" why'd they build such a fancy joint in North Phoenix?

Pretty sure it was just an excuse for me to run the Apache Trail when I have to go to Scottsdale. Although it is always in a rental car and they charge me extra for cleaning when I check it in... The trail is quite a change from the 70's but still fun.

    Don't forget Jacksonville, Florida also.

Because Foundation is in Rochester, Mn. And the core. Not that there is anything wrong with the Satellite Systems.

:( Hope the docs can find what works for your son.... I have no words except I'm sorry he and you are going through this.

That would be awesome to have a TW meet at National Parks!!!

 :annoyed: Just got a notification from my long term care insurance.... After DOUBLING my premium, they now want another $40 a month.... Crap!!! If I ever need it, I'll have paid every penny they ever spend on me :angrygirl: I'd better live long enough to get my $$$ back from them.....
