I was wondering what people out here on TW are getting mileage wise from a full tank of gas ?

check my fuelly link in my signature. Over 100 tanks logged there, although i stopped using it recently.

26mpg is my best full tank, quite a few in the 25's as well. My best short fill was 27mpg over 332 miles.

Most of that was with a cap on, and a slightly heavier wheel/ tire combo.

I've added armor recently, still able to hit 25+ when I want to.

If you really want to maximize miles, fill to the first click ... pull out the nozzle from the filler neck and patiently drizzle 2+ more gallons in.

Getting over 500 is pretty easy when you do this.

Doing the math I get 20-21mpg on average so a full tank would be around 420 miles. I always fill up with a 1/4 tank left though. I have a roof rack, sliders, a Bestop, and took off the front air dam though. Back before mods I was getting 24-25mpg.

    That's terrible MPG's for a puny little 4 banger...!!

I get 26-28 CDN MPG with the 3.5,.....!! The 4 banger should be a lot higher than that..!

I just torched a couple tanks last weekend in my 2015 Access MT with 235/35/17 Generals on aluminum wheels, ARB Bumper and winch, OME BP51 suspension, K&N air filter and charcoal ripped out of the air box. I drove 85mph for 300 miles, non stop, twice, up and over the Appalachian Mts. both ways. I got 15mpg.

    ...sad.

and... don't forget gasoline weighs 6.3lbs/gal x 21.1 gal = 133lbs, drive around town on a 3rd of a tank and it's like leaving the big 80lb bag of cement at home.

You shouldn't do that. It's not healthy for your vapour canister.

It's in the owners manual page 212.

I only have done it for better scangauge calibrating, so twice now. I'll probably not do it enough for noticeable impact. Definitely good for others to see this, though.

It's not so much about more MPG with the 2.7 as much as it is about a lower price point.
