I did the TRD Intake and the URD Spec U exhaust. The Spec U eliminates 2 of the 4 cats and upsizes the piping. I will say that I do notice a performance difference with the setup and I am getting the OVTune which should further help.

They say 20-30 lbs of torque and about 9 HP for the tune alone so we'll see how it is when it is all said and done.

How high do u have to rev in order to feel much tq?

I hear the 3.5 needs to work for tq, and a larger diameter exhaust made even the 4.0 drive like a civic in respect to the tq curve

2.5 if I'm not mistaken. Might even shrink down to 2 in places.

I already took my old exhaust to the scrap heap, so I'm just going on memory, but I know for a fact stock is less than 3 inches. As for the bending, I'm pretty sure neither stock nor aftermarket MBRP has a bunch of crinkles. I think its all mandrel.

not sure about noticeable power gain, but it does have a nice tone in the cabin....

Let us know about your OVTune, I'm interested in that setup.

Shouldn’t take you more than 30-60 minutes. Pretty straightforward.

    Just getting started
I have a 2015 TRD OFFROAD, and looking to upgrade exhuast mainly for sound becuase all the BS about power gains with a this or that cat back system is exactly all that.... BS.
So am I just better off leaving the stock TRD system in place and putting on a Flowmaster muffler and call it a day?
    Thanks!

If you don’t like the sound of constant gear hunting on stock exhaust, you’ll probably notice it even more on TRD exhaust. Overall, I’m still pretty happy with the sound paired with TRD CAI.

Trd offroad doesnt come with trd exhaust. Its the same as the base model exhaust.

And dont buy the "trd" intake because it makes 2nd gens (2005-2015) run lean.

I'd get the Toyota TRD cat back. Have it on the second gen too just for sound. I personally dont really care for flowmasters.

What's the best place to order the TRD Exhaust if one wanted to go that route? Also, best way to pay under MSRP?
