I got my winch mounted to my bumper, then called it quits for the night.

 

That’s a good looking bumper!

 

Did this in the last few days.
Turn signals only no headlights. There a lot brighter then the picture shows.

Dude, can you link the LED bulbs you got for the overhead cabin lights and instrument panel lights? I have a blown light on my fuel gauge so I might as well replace it all. Looks good.

Who made the bumper that you are running? How tight is the winch in it?

I was getting a strange click/clunk in my steering wheel when I went over speed bumps or backing out of a driveway at an angle. Turns out, it was the steering shaft just behind the steering wheel.

Where the shaft is meant to collapse in the event of a crash, it had developed a bit of play that was amplified through the steering wheel. I pulled the shaft, tack welded a couple spots and reinstalled it.

No more noises or clunks and it's 100% again. #feelsgood
Shops were trying to quote me huge money to fix the "front end" when it was this all along.

30 minutes total time (1 bolt, 2 allen screws, 2 springs and 3 phillips screws.
My buddy did the tack weld (took the most time)

The tack welds "should" break in the event of a MAJOR head on. It's merely just to take up the minimal play

Oh yeah, I could really feel it in the steering wheel. I thought I had some major suspension repairs ahead of me. I have an 03 with 140k on it, so figured I was in trouble.
After searching and reading , nope. Easy fix... (pics in that link as well)

I have heard however, having tilt steering makes this a 30 minute fix. Otherwise, it's a PITA.
