A fella on the GX facebook page used shoe goo to repair his CV boots and it is actually holding... I forget how long he said it has been, but it's awhile.

@JDAM I have used my Treds more times than I have count. I have broken 3 of them, I think. 2 1100s (both warrantied without question) and 1 Pro (a couple questions about the break, but still warrantied).

I have found that they leave a little to be desired in deep snow (they just get sucked under the tire and shoot out the back) but they're priceless in sand, dirt, etc.

When I first got mine a couple years back I put the 4runner in 2wd, locked the rear, and buried the rear end until my bumper was resting on the snow. Then, I unlocked the rear, put it in 4hi and buried the front. Put them in front of the rear tires, and drove right now. Did that a few times and never even had to put it in 4wd. I did lock the rear each time though.

@JimSnell If you find snow I'll come play. I think.

Figured I'd ask here before dealing with craigslist...

I have a BLACK Arc'teryx Beta AR (Retail $575) in a men's medium. Great jacket, but I didn't care for their run of rip stop jackets so I bought a new one when that stopped and this has been hanging up ever since.

It's in very good condition. I could probably sell it as new if the printed label that rubs on the back of the neck hadn't rubbed a few letters off.

I'd like to get $250 for it. I don't recommend buying it if you don't want to start spending stupid amounts of money on jackets, and have all of your other jackets feel like garbage.

For those not familiar with Arc'teryx naming..
Beta: All around mountain use garments: moderate length; hand pockets; interior pockets; moderate articulation; room for layers; helmet compatible hoods; drop hem

AR (All Around): Provides high performance & weather protection and highlights a range of features to give All Round versatility in multiple activities.

Love my beta AR, I've had it for years. Too bad this is a medium. A large seems to fit me better.

Just for the record, I was driving in ~2' of snow last weekend at about 3500-4500' down around St. Helens. Not sure what it's doing now, but there is certainly a little snow to play in down this way.

Southern Washington/northern Oregon got dumped with snow. We got some but not 2ft at that elevation. I was in maybe a foot of snow at 5,000ft last weekend.

I was up off NFS 25 on the east side of the mountain. The major roads were clear, but some of the little offshoots were certainly fun.

good info. I'll grab this set.

Does that medium fit you? I bought my GF one on a super sale and always wanted one for myself. I just figured I'd need large. Especially if I have multi warm layers underneath.

I also probably shouldn't spend more money.
