So, Tuesday night a guy hit my 2015 TRD OR. I am thinking it's totaled. The estimate is at about $14,000 right now. When I was shopping for it and selling my 2004 Tacoma some guys here recommended a smartphone app. I forgot what it was, but it would tell you the value of your vehicle based on what others like it in your area sold for. Could someone please remind me what that app was?
    Thank you.

I always use KBB or NADA for vehicle values, but I know there's an app out there called TrueCar that people use a bit. I prefer KBB.

P.S. - Very interested in your front ABS sensors if you keep it and part out......... :bananadead:

Its HIS truck, he can do what he wants with any part of it. The insurance doesn't own it until they buy it from him.
    No illegal in the slightest.

Also not sure why that would be considered unethical?

If he had lets say wheels that he wanted back on the truck, he can take then off the truck if he wanted. Same with any other part. Again he owns the truck still. It's his property.

Not if an estimate has been completed that includes those parts as being on the vehicle

Not sure if I agree with this comment. The insurance company doesn’t own it yet, and I doubt the insurance company would comb through a totaled truck to look at every bit. Besides, It’s not like insurance companies are always ethical.

    I should clarify

I was reading it as if the estimate had been completed, and the process was going through

If OP buys back the truck then yes, his parts to do with how he sees fit.

If the insurance company has already come out and assessed value, and then parts are removed, then OP takes the check from insurance...especially OEM equipment that is supposed to be and likely included on the list when the adjuster goes over the vehicle then that's wrong

The right thing to do is either buy it back or leave the truck as assessed

Cargurus.com is a great website for finding local comps. Sorry to hear about your pickup. If it is totaled...you going to go 3rd gen for a replacement? :)
