Sorry for your troubles. Did you drive it to the dealership in front wheel drive (4x4 - rear shaft)?

Thanks for sharing that. :) That was my plan too if ever I had to ditch the rear drive shaft.

Also, I think that you'll have no problems on your warranty claim. We're all with ya!

    Man, that's rough.

You really have to read the fine print on these warranties that are out there. I have seen language that if you have aftermarket wheels, some void the warranty. If you do not have an oil change every 4K or six months, some void the warranty. If you buy one after the fact and do not have a service done within 30 days it voids the warranty on some.

I have heard good things about the GE one, so I hope you will be OK.

Most of the time, the people that come around and take pictures are just contractors that send a report in to the warranty company and some cubite makes the call. The last two times I tried to get something covered for a client under an extended warranty for a client they were declined. One over service records, even though the expert that came out agreed with me that the vehicle did not suffer from poor service.....and the other that only covered internal lubricated parts but not the defective plugs that damaged the coils that took out the computer (Noted by a Ford TSB) to the tune of a $2200 repair. Add to that all the extra time to explain to the client, and to the adjuster/checkout guy, maybe have to push a vehicle out and wait 24-48 hours for them to show......then talk it over with the person on the phone, then explain to the customer that "check out/diagnosis is not covered" and they need to pay for that part on top of deductible even if covered........GRRRRRR

I am not a fan. If car repair goes to primarily that type of business, I am out. It is either that or DOUBLE the rates I have to charge to make a living. Sounds just like what has happened to other areas where insurance is involved.........

Well if it is denied for the tires and rims, the dealer that sold you the warranty then should be refunding your money.
