Anyone tried these on the 16 oz Coleman propane tanks? Says it will fit. Thinking it would make for a kinda badass way to start campfires.

I didn't even think about starting coals with it since I always use the chimney/newspaper way.

 

^^^ I've just got a few of those Coleman tanks sitting around not being used.

 

It works.. this is gonna sound bad but we use them at the fire station. Its how we start controlled burns, and prescribed burns for fields.

 

This. Is. EVERYTHING!

 

I just watched a video showing it with the Coleman tank where if you don't fire the torch and take it apart, it can hold the propane and still fire for up to a minute. Little bit scary.

 

On second glance, we don't use the self igniting. Just the twist on/off nozzle.

I didn't see the self igniting.. thats what happens when you TW at work.
