    Hi all,

Hopefully this is ok to post here. I'm looking at two different model's and with the way Tacoma's hold their value, there's not too big of a price difference.

    2013 Tacoma $25k
    4wd / TRD / Towing Package / Heated Seats / Touch&Bluetooth Audio / Backup Cam / 68k mi
    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inven...lectedEntity=d311&zip=53130#listing=185556061

    2016 Tacoma $32k
    4wd / TRD / Towing Package / Heated Seats / Touch&Bluetooth Audio / Backup Cam / 25k mi
    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inven...lectedEntity=d311&zip=53130#listing=187935463

I drove both. I feel like I didn't get too comfortable in the 2016, but I immediately "fit in" in the 2013. Not really sure what the difference was. I also felt the 2013 4.0 had a little more pep in the gas. Both models are super clean.

The alure of "new" and "low miles" is pulling me into the 2016 that isn't too much of a price difference. I recently read somewhere on these forums that the "2013 was the most solid model year" (paraphrased)/

    thanks!

My buddies latest gen has a more refined quieter ride than my 2013, but my 2013 seems more rugged off road

I didn’t get much time with the 2017, but the 2013 has an under hood noise dampening foam on the underside of the hood and along the sides. Seems pretty quiet.

I’m quite surprised at all the 2013 suggestions! I’m pretty ready to pull the trigger, just hesitant as I feel like I’d be missing out by not having a full size.

My first thought is get the newer one, but then the responses above all makes sense. Also, another way to look at it is:
The 2013 is 4 years old with reasonable mileage. It was probably traded in because it was paid for and the owner just upgraded.
The 2016 is only a year old. Typically the only reason to get rid of a 1-year old vehicle is because you don't like it - for whatever reason.

I had a 2016 and really disliked the truck, my uncle has a 2014 and it's great. I would definitely go with the 2013. Low mileage and a newer vehicle is great until you hate the vehicle...

I don't think you can go wrong on either one of them. The additional mileage on the 13 is not a big deal. The only thing is that the dealers in my area have used 15's and 16's on their lots and I don't recall that in the past with the 2nd gen trucks. my 2 cents.
