I will eventually get a winch and hybrid bumper, 888 or 886 do you think? Will probably do suspension when I get new tires this spring and winch and bumper later on.

By removing the overload leaf off Dakar, does it eliminate the rake of this medium 888 kit? How much more lift will the rear be with full Dakar pack?

    Please advise

I'm running 888 with full Dakar. Got a bunch of weird vibrations. Took carrier bearing spacer out and the vibes changed but not gone.

For some reason when the truck has sat and it's cold outside the noise is worse.

Planning on taking the 3rd leaf out and if still needed adding shims to the rear axle.

Not running a bumper as of now and I find the 888/Dakar to be pretty stiff. Trying to decide if I'm going to leave it this way or not.

sent this to an off road shop nearby :
The set up I want to go with 2886 Coils ( I will install an off road bumper in the future roughly 160 lbs) - Daker leafs - OME Nitro Shocks - Total Chaos Upper Control arms (unless you recommend something else)

--they responded with "We do not recommend using any aftermarket UCAs with OME suspension – the OME struts cannot use the additional articulation, and may cause the struts to break if that movement is used off-road. If you want more articulation, we suggest installing an Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension with UCSa instead of the OME system."

    someone help me out

887 coils, full dakars, nitrochargers, 285/70R17 Wildpeaks, stock UCA's. Some weird minor vibrations might just be the tires.

I don't think they are wrong per say. The OME shocks are about the same length extended as stock, So if u have more down travel with the ucas the shocks may be the limiting factor in the front of not bumped accordingly. Hope this helps.

I would go with a ball joint uca to get the extra castor but not to much extra travel. I am wanting the same set up just with 888s and camburg ball joint upcs . Should not be to much of a problem.

I would say that this shop is wrong, they are simply trying to up sell you on ICON. First Off, I have never heard of a OME 90000 shock breaking. We have seen plenty of valve failures but these were on OME struts that have over 100,000 miles on them. The OME was designed for the OEM Upper Control arm, but the OME strut has 2 more inches of travel over the stock Strut. An aftermarket UCA works great with OME. Fully drooped the stock UCA will hit the OME Coil, and aftermarket UCA will miss it. I would say thousands if not 10's of thousands run Aftermarket UCA's with OME Struts.
