I have that phone. Best damn phone I've ever had. I just came from a BB storm so a damn brick would be better, but I would still recommend the Tour to anybody.

Ive never heard of that problem and have never had it. Maybe it was just something with that one phone. I really cant think of any complaints. Plus, the new software download came out over the weekend and it runs a lot better now. You should def get it man. Its a great phone.

is this the one with verizon or tmobile? i have played with the one from verizon and liked it a lot.

i have a bold 9000 with att and love it. except for the fact that i have been through 3 phones due to the crappy design of the trackball. one was warrantied and the latest was replaced with insurance. if it has a trackball, i would steer clear bc they are a PITA to switch and the replacements never work as well as the original. but im pretty sure none of the tours use a trackball.

blackberries are awesome tools. the email sync makes emailing just as convenient as text messaging. and bbm(blackberry messenger) is great too. its like AIM for BB's, it makes keeping in contact with friends who also have a BB so easy. i love that BB's are user friendly, sync with your pc, and are pretty durable. they can take a beating, as in being dropped multiple times, and keep on going. mine doubles as a work phone for me and when i upgrade in May, it will be to another BB. im pretty hard on my phones and this is by far the best that i have owned.

the only downside to a BB is that you will need to reset it(turn off and remove the battery for at least 20 seconds) every couple of days so that it doesnt freeze. its like a mini computer, needs to be rebooted every one in a while. my vote is to go for it!

    My $0.02,

Wait for the new tour 2 9650 (think they switched name to Bold now), no more trackball, and it will have faster processor and wifi, possibly more on board memory. Go to crackberry.com and search around in the 9650 forums. Should be out in less than a month, I had blackberries for 6 years, just switched to a droid, good phone, but will switch back when this comes out.

ive got it, and i cant hear anything on it unless i have it on speaker, but i cant hear on any phone unless its on speaker so dont go by that judgement, but other than that i love it, it just needs restarted every now and then to reboot the software on it

Love mine on Verizon. Have had it since November with no problems. Favorite phone I've ever owned. Also my first BlackBerry.

My sister has one she got from a friend. I messed around with it for a little bit and liked it. Hopefully her friend will be able to get me one too.

I have it and it is the best CDMA blackberry on the market, I might advise that if you didn't have to get a Tour at this moment to wait a month or two, the ESSEX (Tour 2) is coming out soon for Verizon and Sprint. It is the same hardware but it has wifi and it a trackpad instead of a ball.

On a side note, if you would like to upgrade your blackberries OS and your carrier does not support over air upgrades, go to http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ and download BB desktop, then just install and plug in your phone to your computer, the software will backup your phone and then download and install the new OS pretty much automatically. (A few Continues and I agree boxes)
