I hope that's right. I plan to buy a 2018 Sport, but like you, want to see how the pricing shakes out.

Hmm.. I know that the update/changes spreadsheet was leaked on TW in this very thread. But it's kind of of odd how Consumer Reports officially states that TSS features are standard on 2018 models... Has Toyota officially confirmed this anywhere?

I don't think Consumer Reports would post it on their website based on leaked information. I think they have official information on the 2018 Tacoma.

Not officially that I have seen, however, I've been told (this week) by two different dealers in the Denver metro area that this is confirmed. TSS-P will be on all 2018 Tacomas. One of them specifically said their corporate rep was the one who said to expect it, so they weren't just reading it off of TFLtruck (hopefully).

Sadly, no one has had any idea when the 2018 will start showing up "in the system", but hopefully soon.

Are you going to pick one up right away? I was thinking of waiting to see how common the cement color will be. Maybe March or April. There are far too many 2017s left for dealers to offer December deals on 18s. 2017 December deals, definitely. But 2018 December deals... They'll point you toward a 2017.

"It's the same truck. They didn't change a thing! TSS is for soccer moms. You would look great in this 2017. 2018s are new, but 2017s are true and tested! Just sign here on this line!!"

 That’s what I’m planning to...April/May maybe the dealers will have a Toyota days tax refund sale!

Haha. That's true. I would like to pick up a 2018 right away, however, that depends on how much they work with me on the trade-in (we are trading in a Grand Cherokee for this Tacoma). I'll wait until I get the right deal, even if it takes a while, even as impatient as I am.

I am not opposed to a 2017 if we can a decent deal. But I will say this about TSS-P; the GC has adaptive cruise, lane assist, and similar features, and personally I think the features are fantastic. Adaptive CC is fantastic to have if you drive in traffic. The more safety options the better IMO, but hopefully stuff can be turned off for those that don't like them. For that reason alone, I'll probably hold out for a 2018, but we'll see.

2018’s are in allocation status. You can build one at the dealer level but pricing is not available. They ARE getting TSSP, zero doubt.

We just had a 17 Pro get dropped off yesterday.

Don't forget they'll probably have the upgraded Entune 3.0 system.

They will not have entune 3.0. Next Toyota to get it will be the 19 Avalon. Apple play coming in two(ish) years.

Be happy we’re not getting 3.0. Navi is either Scout GPS (teathered to your phone) or Advanced Navi which no longer uses a SD card for memory, will have real time updates but will have a monthly subscription after 3 years for the navi alone.

Ok, good to know. Since you have this solid info, why not tell us when the 2018's will be announced?

One of the pics taken at the Texas fair showed a feature list that stated the TSS is standard on all Tacomas. Will post a pic later when I gets home.

@LWLLWWW :hattip:What’s the absolute latest you’ve seen Toyota release the next year model? It can be any of the models...cars, trucks, vans, compacts
