At the end of the day, there is no way to achieve the lift you are wanting for less than the couple hundred dollars you're looking to spend, unless you put a body lift on. 4Crawler is the go to on body lifts AFAIK. And just to be up front and honest with you, 3"+ of lift goes with 35's generally, which go with different gears in the differentials. For the sake of not having a turd that can't move out of its own way, I'd suggest you keep it where it is in height, throw some decently aggressive tires on the truck, and save your money for keeping it running in tip-top shape. And that's coming from someone who was in your shoes not much longer ago than you'd think.

I beat the shit out of mine but as nicely as possible, lol. But yeah, with that kind of hobby comes a hefty maintenance (and the occasional repair) price tag. I really wanted a truck like I have now when I was his age, but I'm glad I waited until my 30s. It's enough of a money pit now, I can't imagine how I would've been able to make that work at 16 yrs old.

My advice, like others have said, spend most of your hard earned money on keeping it running well and it'll be in tip top shape for quality mods when you reach a point that they are practical.

Ok thanks for the help guys and yea I’ve been working on the audio for a while and im ready to move to the exterior other than blacking out like the badges and the bumpers which I did when I got it. But I’m getting 31’s wheel spacers and taking my running boards off other than trying to figure all this lift stuff...may get an off road bumper too

Did you wheel? Were you forced to rock chains ? I have an e locker and my tires have been proven in snow. But snow scares me with the pre runner

You have a solid platform here!

Ditch the steps for sure, get a nice set of headlights, that'll change the look a lot as well. Those tires will make a big change too, if you're up for cutting the fender liner you could do some 33" tires with the 2.5"-3" suspension lift
