if 'yota had a known method to detect a modification, then maybe. but they don't. the devs for the tune use the same tool the dealers use, and they cannot see the rom version with it. it's discussed a few times in the original Alpha thread. but there are still non believers that choose not to modify but rather suffer daily.

as long as I'm hanging around with nothing better to do, I'll also say that the stock tune always left me with the feeling the motor is muted and incorrectly tuned for the hardware. the motor runs obviously so much more normally, like a normal NA V6, with this tune. i can't verify anything and I'm not making a claim, but several of us have felt it possible the tune takes stress off the engine's systems just by running "normally". for what it's worth.

If I can get mine loaded up prior to noon or so Monday, I’ll have 500+ miles on it by the end of the week I can report back on mpg and performance. I just got my dongle this week so I’ll be getting everything set to flash tomorrow

    :fingerscrossed:

This was covered at some point in the other thread. Budget 2x the $ of the tune, take the wife on a shopping spree and finish up with a nice dinner. It's worth the price....

Just hit 500 miles on 1,02c without the P0607 showing up again. I think the clear DTC trick worked.

It's been suggested that the Camry was way overrated. I believe he actually tried it on the truck and it was not as good as they stuff he was doing. That's from my memory that may be wrong. You can search OVtunes post and you should see where he mentions it.

I dont mind having to rev high, and I like the VTEC feeling power surge at 3500rpm.

I want it to feel more exaggerated to be honest. Meaning way more top-end power. I am not out here hauling or towing anything. I am just pushing pavement on commuter time.

I don't mind having to busting the rev limiter if need be (is that even an OvTune option?).

I rev to 6k quite often in my daily driving.

That's why parts say offroad only. Stay stock and be fine with it.
