URD is looking for an eastcoaster to put the new supercharger kit in.

I emailed Underdog RacingDecelopment last night about a Supercharger for the 2017 2.7L Tacoma, to see if they had one. They replied this morning with they made one but havent put it on the market yet because they’re looking for a truck to try it out in. They wanted me to bring mine unfortunately i dont live anywhere near Maryland.

If anyone on the east coast is interested in getting a brand new top of the line Super for little to no cost hit them up by theircontact us page
    https://www.urdusa.com/contact-us/
They are trying to repease this kit but without a truck to try it on they cant. So someone take advantage of this opportunity.

i really wish i could but im on the opposite coast

Hit em up and see what they say, do you have the 17? He didnt mention if it was 16-17. If you end up talking to em let me know how it goes, jealous of whoever does it already.

The contact us link is posted above, and they’re pretty quick on it i sent em a message last night and then it was consistent back and fourth this morning. So there on top of it, the name of who emailed me is Steve Dopler so if you can request him to email you.

Are they doing the 3.5 as well? Seems there would be a larger market for it.

Most likely i just noticed there wasn’t a 2017 2.7 super available so emailed if they had one and they said there waiting for a truck to put it in. Have you checked the site already to see if there is one already?

Steve Dopler AKA Gadget is the owner of URD and is a great guy to work with. I have been communicating with him for the last 8 months since I bought his URD y-pipe and use his email info@urdusa.com . He may have other email adresses. I happened to be in his area a couple weeks ago visiting one of my daughters and stopped by his shop. He told me that he was pretty close to completing his work on the 2.7 but was not optimistic about ever coming out with a supercharger for the 3.5 because of the Atkinson cycle. I highly reccomend his y-pipe which removes the rear cats and not only improves HP but also has improved my MPG. He produces quality products and has great customer service. If I had the 2.7 I would definitly be at his shop tomorrow.

According to the dyno results for the dual VVti 2tr fe, it appears the fuel mapping is set up for economy and emissions (hence the "fe" designation). It appears to run at the stoichiometric fuel ratio even at max power. This leaves a lot of power on the table as the best power mixture is richer than this. Richer mixtures improve power and reduce combustion and exhaust gas temperatures. There is a lot of power in these 16 valve dual overhead cam engines that is not being utilized in the interest in fuel economy.
Personally, I would not add a turbo or a supercharger without changing the fuel mapping. Supercharging a 10.2:1 compression ratio engine that runs in closed loop seems like a bad idea. It may be that detonation can be held at bay by utilizing premium fuel. I imagine that premium fuel will be mandated.
Good news is that there is plenty of room in the "snout" for an inter-cooler.

"fe" stands for the type of head, not the fuel mapping. "ge" is the performance head.

It definitely does NOT run at stoich at full throttle. that would be insane. It runs RICH at full throttle. What i needs is to be leaned out.
