Ive been a little lax in updating this, but alot of stuff has happened.

Old bed setup was just bolted to the frame. no structure. No bueno

I built a frame for the flatbed consisting of three lateral bars and a few ladder bars to stiffen it all up

[IMG]Untitled by Grant Wilson, on Flickr
    Used 2 x 2 x 1/4" 6061 and 1.5 x 1.5 x 1/4 6061 to build the frame out. appropriate spacers for levelness.

    Laying out tailights

bent the panels to make the rear tailight panels as well.

I wanted to put patches up, so I ordered some veltex from industrialwebbing, and got to work

finished up the side doors and latches. 1/8 6061 aluminum with a nice bend in it so i can use the downward shooting lights on the camper.

Wow sick build! I'm not a huge fan of the flatbed look myself, but i definitely see how much storage space you get back by doing it! very nice.

Driver side rear storage box is built. Have to put the hinge on and latches for the door.

Other side tub is built, but not installed yet. Will be finishing up next week after work over a few days.

Id rather put money in metal than a grill. Grill stays, not painting or doing anything with it

Is rear wheel uptravel not an issue? The stock bed has a few many inches above the rails and you just have as much as your box tube it looks like?

got the rear doors on the flatbed, and waited a week for lathes to get here-_-

got some 316 stainless tie downs to replace the shittiest tie downs known to man. Youd think on a 20,000 item they'd spend more than 3.00 a piece for a turnbuckle.

Installed a Midland MXT115 GMRS Radio because CB super sucks. Still have the CB though to talk crap to stupid people while driving on the PA.

And finally got the latches in and the rest of the doors in. Headed ot Ocala this weekend for a big group trip. Just rolling out on sunday (hence no camper in) and having a great time taking it off sweet jumps!
