Wish we could go on the 28th but with unpacking and setting up our new place I haven't had the time to fix a few minor things on the 4runner yet.

I would.. but I'm in VaBeach w/ family that weekend

I also need to stop being lazy and get my sliders and snorkel installed

I USED to be one of them.... so I got accustomed to eating whatever (aka good food) haha

and then when I broke my neck, it severely limited a LOT of the physical stuff I used to do like 5k's, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc.....

so now I'm this 29 year old fat guy that has to learn to eat gross tasting food. haha

I cant run (flat feet, over pronate), get shin splints real bad when I do. I prefer walking. When I had a treadmill I would just grab a tablet, launch netflix, and watch an episode or two of whatever. Before I knew it, I had walked several miles and caught up on a couple episodes of a show I wanted to watch for the day. No longer have the treadmill, but still walk as much as possible.

Plus now that the weather is nice, I walk outside at lunch more often rather than sit in the break room and watch the price is right. BTW Drew needs to go back to the flat top. He looks creepy with grown out hair.

hahahaha I miss the Drew Carey show!

but yea, I dont "take a lunch" because my company allows us to "eat at our desk" and all that.... but Karen and I have been walking every evening this week 1-1.5 miles....fall is definitely my fav time to be out and about walking around.

as most of you know (especially @buyobuyo and @Darkgoatracer ) I'm not happy with how it fits, the controller, etc.... haha

so I am going to sell it [likely] in favor of the Smittybilt X20 w/ synthetic line and its wireless features.

has anyone heard of any Black Friday deals on winches?

best deal I can find so far is the SB winch for $460

30 is usually the age where our previously fabulous metabolism decides to say "fuck you body I'm out". :D

Someone mentioned the keto diet. That's what I did before my wedding and I lost 30 pounds in 3 months. I ate all the meat and cheese I could get my hands on. I hate fruit and vegetables, so that was perfect for me.

I ate bacon, eggs and cheese every morning for breakfast, chicken or steak for lunch, chicken or steak for dinner. You can eat chicken wings, as long as it isn't a sweet sauce, but buffalo is fine. I would eat some spinach or brussel sprouts occasionally, but always cooked in bacon fat.

Just remember that alot of those diets designed to help you lose weight quickly will cause harm in the long run ... and usually the weight comes right back as soon as you stop dieting.

A more balanced diet and exercise. Just lower your caloric intake and exercise just enough to burn more calories than you put in.

It always has to be both, just dieting or just exercising always creates a plateau.

The keto diet is very polarizing, but I did a lot of research before I decided to dive in, and my wife was a nutritionist who got her degree in that field, so I was being closely supervised haha. I was by no means starving myself, and for the most part, I have kept the weight off. Of course, if you go back to eating like shit afterwards, the weight is going to come back. There are weightlifters/bodybuilders who have been on the diet for years without adverse results (at least at this point, as for the long term future, remains unseen). But, I will say it is not for everyone. The beginning is very tough.

Wherever you are starting from, you need to slowly get control of whatever bad eating habits you have. Tackle them one at a time so it doesn't feel like such a huge sacrifice. When you are addressing each eating habit slowly decrease your intake, again so it doesn't seem like you are giving up much. When you feel like you have the first thing under control then move to the next (while maintaining control of the first thing). Cutting out every bad thing at once is a recipe for failure.
