So you never answered my question. Do you drive an electric car and get all of your energy from solar?

Once again, please let this thread be for MT owners to learn about this tune. If you want to talk about environmental stuff and sit on your high horse start a new thread about it.

I'm really looking forward to the Dyno numbers and to find out if the DFCO was played with.

There has been no testing for changes to the vehicle emissions with these tune and I very much OVTune has any interest in spending the money on doing it. These tunes are marketed as "for off-road use only", they produce more power which means they will produce more emissions than stock. If emissions and pollution is a big concern for you than this tune is 100% not for you. That said if emissions are that high of a concern for you I'd think looking for a vehicle that gets better mileage than a Tacoma would also be high on your list.

I wouldn't go out there and state that more power = more emissions.

if he is getting a cleaner burn and running leaner AFR, would that not mean possible lower emissions?

I'm not saying the EPA will go away, I'm saying this is marketed for "off-road use only" which makes it fall into a grey area outside of the EPA. If you decide to use an "off-road tune" on public roads you are the one at fault, you disregarded OVTunes recommend use for the tune.

Sure you can. Headers, intakes, exhausts, cat test pipes, etc all have the same disclaimer. If the buyer chooses to ignore that fact, it's not the fault nor the responsibility of the manufacture.

Tell me this. Should I stop driving my 1970 Chevy pick up since it does not meet 2017 EPA standards?

Something tells me you work for either another tuning/performance company or the government? Am I wrong?

The ecu is nothing like euro Bosch ecus.

If you're in the automotive industry you should know modifying your car does not automatically impact your warranty. For a dealer to just plug in, suspect a tune, and deny warranty is illegal.

@knottybaffled, it appears you are only in this thread to troll and this product isn't for you.
With that, if you want to contribute meaningfully, by all means. Otherwise, please move on.

It would seem to me that the tune should not have any adverse effects to longevity since we are not bypassing any safeties. We are not bypassing knock sensors or anything. We are not allowing anymore detonation. The tune should not effect bearing life that I know of. We are not deleting any emmissions equipment off of the truck. I doubt any tuning companies are putting engines on test stands and seeing when they will blow vs stock. I am more worried about the crap the coal burning power plants are putting in the air then what comes from the tail pipe of my Tacoma. But I don't know shit so this is purely speculation.

This is all you need to read right here to know what kind of dude he is and how he looks (down) at anyone else who does not do
exactly as he does. I think he is the first person I've ignored on TW that I never actually interacted with...and FTR, I don't even have the tune
nor am I sure I'm going to buy it yet.

Clearly the information that has been, and is provided, isn't up to your standards. So yeah, not for you. Bye now.
