Awesome! I still have mine for high beams. That with my bi-xenon HIDs just light it up.

Found this under the thread "K&N BlackHawk Series 71 Intake"

"There's an intake rubber part that's called PTR03-35160-AE (Intake Flow Accelerator/Horn), it fits in that hole. It has a specific shape that will and should enhance air flow into the filter chamber. I think it's the money part for the TRD intake. You can purchase that separately and see what it does for you. It's # 8 in the diagram fits in that hole in the fender:"

Great post, love the diagram! One question, does the TRD intake just draw air through the bottom of the box from the engine bay without #8? Ok, two questions, does just the TRD CAI have that connection to fender opening or do all model CAIs have that? Meaning would this work on a stock Sport intake?

    Thanks,
    Rob

My factory TRD OR's air box and the TRD Pro's (cannot comment on the sport model) both have the tube opening (that #8 attaches to) which is designed to pull air from the inner fender (dead space above the fender liner) but it doesn't completely seal the hole, so a good bit of air is still pulled from the engine bay. Part #8 places the opening completely inside the inner fender and seals the hole which in theory eliminates the intake of hot air from the engine bay, hence the "cold air" description.

Does the accelerator just pop in or do you have to take the entire assembly out to get to it?

Thanks, I'll have to look at mine the next time I get a chance and see if I have the tube below the box. Wouldn't mind doing this mod and adding a better filter.
