Bough it used with 10k miles. Already had the tinted windows and the truck bed cover so I can lock my skis and gear in the back! Next upgrade will be side steps and I wanted a system but can't find too many options for the limited space in back. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a sub and amp?

Welcome! It's beautiful up there. Glad you guys have gotten some snow to kill the fires. Great ride.

Thanks for the recommendation! Checking them out now.

I love it up here! Almost four years now, my third season skiing. So much to explore. And yes, the fires kicked back up the other day in a couple places but nowhere near as bad as this summer. Ooooof.

Nice to meet both you guys!

I love Glacier Park, really ALL of Montana. Have been hiking there since the early 90's and this year was the worst for fires in a long time. I am attaching a pic of my truck up on McGinnis Creek road between Columbia Falls and GNP. Smoke was terrible. Couldn't hike for the first time since 2002......can't wait to drive out next year. Lots of great roads to discover. Go down to Hungry Horse Resevoir, and there are lots of neat places but please go to Polebridge Mercantile and get a Huckleberry Bear Claw pronto! They are fantastic. And it is a great drive up north towards Canada outside the park up towards Kintla Lake. Take a kayak. Have more fun and take a girl! Tim

SO SMOKEY!!! I just recently bought the truck or I would have just left for a few weeks because it was so bad. Surprisingly, GNP shattered attendance records again even with the smoke this summer. I've been to the Polebridge Mercantile! It was on the way to hike Numa Ridge off Bowman Lake. The picture below is of Bowman Lake from the Numa Ridge Fire Lookout [OC].

I've been told many times to kayak up here! I will definitely do that next summer. So much to do and explore up here and now I finally have a truck that will get me there. I had an 02 audi a4 with 140k miles on it before this so I couldn't really trust it to go anywhere other than around town and up the mountain to ski.

Do you drive up from Florida!? That is a LONG HAUL! I will definitely have to check out kintla lake next summer as well. Beautiful truck and scenery! If only it were clear :(

OK WFSkiBum, This is what a huckelberry bear claw looks like and buy a couple, drive up in the park past Polebridge, take a right, drive for several miles and park up on the overlook to the North fork of the Flathead. Look around for bears, with huckelberry bear claws Bears will particularly be friendly. Take a seat on one of the logs and look at Heaven for awhile. It doesn't hurt to have bear spray and a .357 on you either. I love hiking in this area but it is Bear Central so stay alert. P1030438.jpg P1030443.jpg I saw a pack of wolves in here too and hearing them is pretty common. When they are howling it is a special sound and I bet it puts the fear of God in the other animals..... Good Luck! Tim

OK, I promise I will stop after this.....if you sit there patiently and quietly (and leave the aftersP1000657.jpg P1000660.jpg P1000740.jpg have at home), you may see a Bull Elk crossing the river or maybe a Ferret somewhat closer. Those damn Ferrets are small, like 8-12 ounces and they are sooo fast. In all my years out there I have seen two. I take a book and sit for hours. Fill up the truck son, you have landed in Heaven. Good Luck! Tim

Beautiful pictures! I have yet to see an Elk! I saw my first bear at upper whitefish lake a couple weeks ago. Didn't even know they have ferrets out here!
