    Whats going on toyota world.

    Question:
why doesnt my truck have rr diff button, being a trd sport "the off road package" shouldnt it have one?

i would assume it would have one since it is the trd sport 4wd package, but maybe they dont come with that anymore.

i remember my buddy had a 03 trd and that one had it.
    maybe someone can enlighten me.

because it is a TRD sport not a TRD Off Road... the Off Road has the rr diff button (ie rear locking differential) you have an mechanical Limited Slip differential, and therefore don't need a button.

You either have a TRD Sport or a TRD Off Road, can't have both... you can have neither though

Sport = LSD and no rr button
Off Road = Locker and rr button

its not near as good as a locker offroad (rr button) but the lsd is alot better than the non trd models with a standard open diff. would you like a link to explain the differences between the 3? locker/LSD/open

Were you confused by the options at purchase , or just assume it came with the locker ?

yah, i just assumed tacos had the locker off the bat. especially trd packages. but i realize now theres much more options now days.
thats what i get for assuming.
im still super pumped on the truck.
to be honest with you, i was looking for a pyrite 6 speed sport for so long i really didnt care.
the lsd is plenty enough for me.

FWIW , the only time I have ever been stuck in my truck , was in the snow with the shitty stock dunlop tires , since I changed to my Hankooks , smooth sailing ,

Must be nice to be able to buy a $30k vehicle without doing much research. I'm not hating, but seriously dude... you should at least review what is on the window sticker before buying.

    lol
i needed to trade in our tahoe quick.
i knew everything else about the truck, just wasnt sure about that one detail.
common, it wasnt that guy just pulling up to the dealer in my limo and pointing out the truck and saying " thats the one i want, write it up"
i knew it had the lsd, just wasnt sure if the lsd replaced the rr.
