    Whooooo!

    Great Horned Owl.

    This one lives at Kentucky Raptor Rehab. She can't see well in the good eye and is completely blind in the other. She's a surrogate mother to quite a few "owlettes" (baby owls) that end up blown out of a nest, or their natural parents abandon them for some reason. She can lift close to 25 lbs, and those talons can crush bones.
