I read a Q&A and someone references it's 1/16" too short to fit. It seems that way...so close, but not willing to lock

Just a thought: Have you considered going out to your truck and measuring the receiver?

    Dimensions
    [IMG]
The Hitch lock is meant to fit in all standard Class I, II, III, and IV hitches with a max outer hitch width of 2.75 inches. The solid steel lock is a total of 6 inches long with one end that can be detached using the provided keys. The hitch lock comes in an industry standard 5/8” or ½” Diameter pin to fit any standard hitch receiver.

And honestly I would not bother with a locking version. Mine as well as others had to get cut off as they freeze and get all jammed up. Right @T4RFTMFW we both recommend a cotter pin type :D

The standard sized locking pin with a dog leg will fit. I bought one for my son's 2017 Tacoma.
