I used 1" aluminum 1970's VW/Audi rear license plate bracket, cut in half, stainless nylock hardware to hod the plate to the bracket halves, and the stock plastic screws holding the brackets to the front cover.

I didn't like the big plastic thing and just screwed the plate directly to the bumper. Cheap, clean, simple and it's held up fine for 33K miles.

I live in a state that only requires 1 tag for 18000lbs, so that's what I run on my truck :)

I never notice my front plate when I am driving. I bought my truck for driving not taking selfies and poser shots.

You’re gonna regret not taking pics of it now...these are the best years, and they grow up so fast.

So theoretically if your vehicle weighted 180,000 lbs you would need 10 tags? LOL!

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Being from that same state Mo. --I have couple of questions. 1. As I recall, don't those plates cost you more? and 2. I thought the 18000 plates were supposed to be on the front of the truck only -- am I wrong here ?

There's a bull bar in front so maybe that hides the missing plate, dunno.

They do cost more and are supposed to be on the front, but I asked the DMV and they said the back was ok. I've not been pulled over in the last 19mts and I work and drive in Springfield everyday.

It ain't beautiful, but was cheap & easy, did not put any new holes in anything. $10 at Lowes.

Still a foot of clearance, we'll see. Couldn't bring myself to mount the OEM unit on my bumper yet...
