All have fantastic area to explore and enjoy without the cost of CO. They are on my list of possible places right now. I just have to figure out how much cold I can handle living with again. Part of my reason for moving to TX was better winters. (That came after the lack of money and job.)

This sumbitch was my rear diff breather union. Where'd them threads go? I noticed last weekend that it was rattling around in the axle housing during disassembly of the third.
    20171019_174456.jpg
I used a 1/8-27 pipe thread tap to re-thread the hole in the housing and replaced this soft aluminum metric crap with a barbed brass pipe fitting. Better than new!

Today is the day. Gotta work a few hours and then hope and pray that FedEx gets here sooner rather than later. The past three weeks have felt like the longest three weeks of my life lol I miss driving my truck!

Let me tell y'all... cleaning out the diff is a bitch when you've grenaded your gear set.

@trekker - I'm ready to go wheeling again...you need to get the front end done and get some tires so we can go!!! Either that or we can just wheel the 4Runner all weekend like we did last time ;)

I'm down. First heat cycle break-in was a success aside from some terrible chatter from my poor passenger CV. Guess the front diff is going in sooner than I thought. I may have 4 wheel drive for next weekend!

Don't use shitty torque wrenches. This added way too much time to my day in the garage earlier. Couldn't find a stud that fit the drum backing plate locally, so I replaced it with a nut and bolt. When I change the brakes I'll replace it with a stud.

I also found an AWESOME leak in my t-case. When it rains it pours.
