But the filter is about $13 itself right?

What's considered high mileage, at what number?

I will confirm/bust the walmart theory when I go up there in a few minutes, need to change the oil soon.

Check the clearance section. I have seen 5 quarts jugs in there for $21 at times.

    Good Luck!!
I always get my Mobile 1 at Walmart. It's always been cheaper even when its not on sale. The 5 quart jug is the ticket.

Just be careful, because some of the jugs are 4 quarts. Another way they're sneaking in profits.

How often should we change oil filters?

Walmart was cheaper than that here. Also, bought the filter from the dealership for $4

Sorry about that.....that's totally stupid. Someone should fire their website designer for not taking that shit off the website completely. :D

(I hate it when websites like that aren't updated)

Thanks! I'll be buying the next time I stop by and stocking it for my next oil change. $30 for all that is a good deal IMO. The Mobil 1 filter is $13 on its own, so $17 for 5 quarts of Mobil 1 is a steal.

I was just making sure, because I was thinking why go for the Wal-Mart deal if you can get both the oil filter and the oil at once for under $29.99 + tax. :D

FYI the guy who rung me up said I couldn't get the 5 quart jug. The sale is only for 5 - 1 quarts. This was at Advance Auto Parts, not Wal-Mart.

Thanks, I know. I've only changed my oil once in my life and every time from now on. I was never a DIY until I found this GREAT website.

Not really. Now I'm going to hide my face for a few days. :anonymous:
