    Doing the custom side marker LED's this week....hopefully I can pull off what I have planned @memario1214 might know ;)


    You jinxed me!!!! Long story short my toddler got a hold of a rear reflector and thought it would be funny to taunt my bulldog with it. Needless to say it is unusable now:(

    Phase 2; Side markers

    I needed some side illumination so here is what I came up with...
    I used a straight strip smoked diffuser purchased from Klearz. I had an idea of where I wanted to put the LED's, and the strip was the perfect width. then just cut to length.

    First was to mark out where they are going:

    Painted and test fit. They flow with the factory lines..exactly what I was going for

    With the LED's mounted behind, the diffuser makes them look like a solid plasma bar. SWEET:bananadance:

    This is the complete running light mode. Put the lens over to see how it will look. I'm debating about using the side markers as a turn signal too...hmm

    My .02 - I say leave it only as a running light then since the turn signal is going to be amber. That would be a whole lot of flashing at once.
