Tested the tie-down points today hauling a air compressor hour down the interstate. Seemed to hold up fine.

Extang bed cover. And an improvised bed divider.

    20171021_124422.jpg

With a long bed I can't afford to have my crap sliding all the way up to the back of the cab and then having to crawl into get it.

I'm not totally happy with the bed cover, I had one on my Dakota and it was awesome. But they skimped on one of the bows so I'm going to call them on Monday and get the fourth one. This is very difficult to put on.

A bed mat would help tremendously.

I’ve gotta thank another member who actually found it and posted it in the Oregon/Washington Craigslist thread. Such a great deal that my wife couldn’t even say no.

With traffic in Houston and as many times as I have to slam on my brakes, it would help. But that divider will solve the problem.

And I do plan on getting a bed mat, I'm going to steal the one out of my Dakota next time I'm near it.

I know, when I got in the truck yesterday after installation I was wondering if the wrinkles would decrease as the weather warmed up. If not the truck will go back to the installer. I had already stained my factory cloth seats by daily use and I am retired so easy on upholstery compared to my working days. Thanks for your comment as I to am trying to decide what is expected for wrinkles at installation. I like the covers, they are comfortable and look nice as the wrinkles are not as noticeable in person.

I had katskins installed several months ago and there wasn't a single wrinkle. So, may want to take it back to your installer. These things are made very well and fit tight so they should be super smooth

Not knocking the skins. Has to be an installer issue. Those things should look like it just came from the factory. Check out pix on the threads with Katzkins and take those pix to your installer. Heck take him pix of my $274 Clazzios for comparison (these pix are after roughly 18 months of use from mid summer). No way mine should look any better than yours. Get a ride home and tell him to call you when it is correctly installed. I am sure you paid good bux for the install.

Hey @JerryTaco I just noticed we both joined a month apart in 2013. That was when I had my 1st gen. Thanks to TW I now have reading glasses next to every computer and in my truck. Damn sure done a lot of reading here in nearly 5 years.

Installed the AFE TBS with the CAI that I already had with the dynamic scoop. I know most people poo poo them, but my first impressions are seemingly a increase in mpg's and seems to hold sixth gear even better than it has been since the new gears, which made a great improvement! So if my first impressions hold true, I will be pleasantly surprised and pleased! Also I do not hear the dreaded whistle, which this new design is suppose to have mostly eliminated. I confess that I have tinitus in a pretty bad way from shooting and masonry saws!
