LA Kings look great so far this year. Hope they stay focused and win it all like the Dodgers will in baseball.

Well fuck. Outplayed by Ottawa. Wasn't just the trap either, they knew exactly what to do in the neutral zone to break up Toronto breakout attempts.

 

Yep they seemed to be ahead of the leafs at every step. Well played.

 

Yeah, I liked the push back at the beginning of the third but Toronto needed to find a way to break out well before that point. I don't blame Andersen either, but he could of been better. That's kind of him in a nut shell this year.

Not taking anything away from Ottawa either. They shut the Leafs right down because they had a plan and executed it perfectly. Just shit talking my own team for not having a plan to combat a team that seems to play the same slow down game every night.

 

Pretty disappointed in the leafs play last night. Ottawa is a good team but I feel like the media is setting Toronto up for a shit storm if they lose a few in a row. Personally I don't think the 6-2 start reflects the play. They need a lot of work on playing 60 mins or hell even 40 mins. If it weren't for their top line skill scoring at will in a few games I dont think they would be 6-2

 

The core of the team is still young, they are going to go hot and cold every year especially when they let their record dictate the effort they put in each game. They did the same thing last year, for 10-15 games they would play their system, then for 5-10 they'd look like a bunch of retards trying to hump a door knob.

If LA can win 3 of the next 5 games, it will still be awesome. Reality says you have to lose at some point and this is a brutal road trip. Of course I'd like to see points in all though.

Niemi on waivers.....

 

As has been said, many of us saw that coming. Are they just going to play their kid or make a trade?

 

I honestly don't know. They weird thing is, Jarry hasn't been great in Wilkes-Barre. So I honestly feel like he would've been shelled in the 3 games that Niemi played this year, also (with how bad we play team defense). Pens are so lax right now, look at Murray's numbers even. Niemi certainly didn't help himself though. Didn't really make 1 key stop in those 3 games. But I honestly can't see Jarry being any better, with how this team is playing in front of him. Especially since he hasn't been great in AHL (DeSmith has somewhat outplayed him so far this year). So it'll be interesting. Not sure what is going to happen. Def going to have to ride Murray hard though, I'm guessing.
