Are all the refund issued? I received the big refund, but did not receive the refund for the small second payment. If you dont mind, can you look into it? @Mrguitarguy01 . Thanks to you and @docloco for the hard work. Sorry for the Paypal mess. It sucks.

I'm helping @Mrguitarguy01 get it sorted out. My account is still locked too, but I was able to refund everyone within a few minutes once I figured it out.

 

@Mrguitarguy01 and @docloco , thanks for sticking with it! No good deed goes in punished.

Everyone else: Looks like the natives are getting restless. Please let these guys work out all possibilities with the original GB. They signed on for that, and we signed in to buy tents. I’ll throw in the towel when they do!

So, we're currently looking into escrow. A quick estimate shows that it will cost us $240 fee for them to escrow the agreement. We will have to split that amongst everyone. 240 / ~51, and it should be something like $.41 cents. I like it. We have to see if Sunday Campers will accept it.

The other method was venmo/quickcash, which I use both.

The lastly, we take these numbers to another vendor. The issue I see with this is that the Sunday Campers is a good deal. Annex included we're still walking out cheap, and that does not include the awning that is also pretty cheap, and would be the next GB. It is also worth mentioning that these configurations do not change regardless of tent size, which is a huge bonus. I am not sure that the other manufacturers can compete with this. But if you guys think they can, I am more than happy to reach out to them.

 

I posted up earlier that I was going to wait on refunding shipping in case we figured out an alternate financial option.

 

My refund came through....I'll be paid up by the end of today.

Well I would ask you, and everyone else, to please pay attention. I'm aware that there are a lot of irrelevant comments (though enjoyable to read) that might make other people not want to pay attention; however, in this instance I/we need everyone's attention so that everyone is informed and in full agreement of how we are going to proceed.

When this all started I was met with skepticism and distrust due to the amount of money. I hope I, along with @docloco, have shown you guys we are all in the same boat and accepting the same risk. I had 30k+ in my account, as well as docloco at one point. If we had ill-intention, we certainly had opportunity. I have kept full transparency, including the current paypal situation, and will continue to do so. We are working with the manufacturer to provide the most risk averse process to get these tents, but if it doesnt work, there are other means with no protection, and I need to know who is willing to do this so that we can move forward with this GB, start a new one, or do nothing at all.

 

Are we able to do ten at a time payments maybe? So you get 6 to 8 k and pay china then get another 6 to 8k and pay china , so you dont have 30k sitting in there red flagging shit? Or i think the geo option is nice aswell as we have plenty of people to give reviews and post pics. And we have more dedicated participants so possibly a lower price than they had on the last gb

 

I'm just not willing to have no protection. Not that I don't trust you guys I'm just not willing to take that chance.

 

I really like this option, and I think its a good option if the escrow option isnt viable. The only issue I see with this is that for some members, this is a time sensitive issue. I know that some members have plans for these already with time frames that cant be moved. So there would need to be honesty, and patience so that some members can get them first, or else they would just go buy other tents.

I will ask about this option.

 

I know the ten at a time won’t work. PayPal’s biggest issue wasn’t necessarily the total, but they were uncomfortable with the 2-3 month lead time. They felt it was too much risk on their part. As far as Geo, or other brands, I’m sure those are options, but they aren’t actively being pursued until the escrow plan is explored.
