Been reading all these diy frugal mods and thought I'd add one which I'm sure has been done but it's hard to read 120 pages of comments. Mesh inserts behind my grill. I had some mesh lying around molded, painted and ziptied into place.IMG_20170124_213552360.jpg IMG_20170124_213541981.jpg

I bought a couple ratchets for tieing down stuff. Wanted to put them in a bag. Had an idea. Use the legs from some old jeans. Wife sewed the bottom shut and insisted on the shoe string to tie things shut.

If you put each strap in a quart ziplock inside the bag it keeps the hooks from tangling all the straps together. I have 4 straps in an ammo can and it's easy to get just 1 or 2 out.

May I ask why you chose flush pods?

Not my photo but they almost look like skateboard bushings. I'm sure the hardware store has something like those.

Just an update. These things have been through winter, summer, pressure washers, and NOT touchless car washes without a problem. Good product.

For the bicycles. The Rocky Mount units were on sale for $15 recently so I snatched them up. The rest cost me about $8. I need to take it apart and paint before the rust gets any worse.

Wanted extra light while plowing and reversing down my long ass driveway. Didn't want anymore switches in the cab and also didn't want to start tapping wires, so...I bought an outdoor led light on Amazon for $30 and made a bracket for it with some stuff I had lying around. Plugs into the bed outlet. Works awesome and can be taken off in under a minute.
