Good day fellas. I’m new to the Tacoma family. This is my first Tacoma it’s a 17’ SR5 Double cab truck. Loving it so far. My question is I’m terms of lifts. It’s not a 4X4 so I don’t plan on off roading but would like to lift it a bit in order to make it look a little tougher. There’s a shop down here that my local toyota dealership sends all their Tacoma’s to and they do a 3/1 pro comp lift. The problem is that they charge 800$ for it. Kind of pricey but apparently they won’t void my warranty if I go through their shop. Any one have thoughts on the matter?

Welcome! I'm also a SR5 DCSB 2WD and am looking to lift. I believe spindle lifts are the most appropriate for our drivetrain. Camberg and MaxxTrac are the two reputable companies you can take a look at. I am waiting until my stock tires wear until I get a lift and new tires. I think everyone's opinion regarding getting a lift at a dealership will result in avoiding at all costs.

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road will be able to provide you with a BOM that will fulfill your needs. I hear nothing but great things about her. Another user here @Leo4x2 is also another fellow Texan, just like us, who has an SR5 DCSB 4x2 and lifted his set up with Marie's help. His truck is beautiful. You can ask him for information on his lift and if he has any tips for you!

Definitely follow the Headstrong Offroad Advice. Me personally, I would avoid the Pro Comps and go with the Bilstein 5100s, front and rear. Linked below. If you want to maintain the factory rake with the lift, add in the add-a-leaf option.
