Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

Big shout out to these guys making my first wheeling a trip a blast! Had so much fun, bummed I had to take off but next time is gonna be all day!

 

Don't change a thing it just adds character!

 

I was initially conflicted about this but it was something @harrisonfaulkner said that made me forget about it. We had a choice at one point, wheels or body panel damage. I think we made the right choice lol

Looks cool IMO. Memory of that day, that trail, and that yall should never let me lead at HF again lol

 

Any idea where you ended up?

 

Bronco buster. Near the beginning, where it's really narrow and off camber.

 

Aye that's a fun trail. Did y'all do it?

 

We backed out. Long and low trucks were not a fit, and from memory there's a really big obstacle further down so we decided not to risk it.

 

I make it without scraping! I get on my sliders going from the other direction on one part typically (Midnight Run -> park road)

I'll take y'all down it next time I'm in town if y'all want

 

I've been down it in the Tacoma no issues, but one of the trucks was stock height and stock tires, and had already tore his bumper off.

I'm hoping they got some pictures/videos of the fence line. I got the shitbox up some gnarley stuff.

Also, they bulldozed a bunch of the park. It's really different now.

 

Where'd they bulldoze? Sounds awesome! I wonna come see it

 

Most of the park roads had some work, and they flattened some of the fence line out. The top section by North Pole had that really crazy wall, it's all flat now.

Fun wheeling with you. I wouldn't feel too bad about bailing early. The second half was kind of a clusterfuck of trying to simply get out of the park. We had a couple sections where we had to either back out a good distance or try and get turned around on fake narrow trails that were dead ends.

You missed out on camping though. That was a good time.

 

Super fun weekend. Add to take a little nap after I got home and aired out the tent. Going through pics right now.
