    Sorry I was in a rush and couldn't post the pic of the diff so I just linked the thread it came from. You can see the mounts are the same:

    The 4x4wire page said that all 96+ 4Runners use the same rear diff presumably the one in the pic.

    So I’m trading my front diff for another members he has manual hubs mine are automatic. Are the diffs still exactly the same?

    Scuff up the metal a little more using red scotchbrite pads. POR15 is meant to stick to rusty metal. You could use a metal primer on the good metal and then POR15 over after the primer cures enough to POR's specifications.
