Guys any 1 gen guys I need the best, cheaper coilovers and upper control arms money can buy. Want 3” of lift for the front only. Already have a rear add a leaf and block with bilsteins.

I currently have a 1 gen 2.7 and love it as my play toy. I previously had a 2 gen with the 2.7 I loved it also. My buddy bought my 2 gen from me and he is still daily driving it m. I had it a 150,900 Miles and he currently has like 225,000 on it still not issue at all or oil leaks. Can’t go wrong with a Toyota!!!

You can get OME with the 885 coils (IIRC) that should. Get you 3” upfront. Go and snag some Light Racing UCAs as those are the cheapest out there.

Oh and go ahead and get rid of that block, you’ll have to replace your leafs in a few years down the road due to the block

I wanted to get rid of the block but I believe the bilstein 5100 is what they are said have to run atkeast at 1” block I will check those out. I just have to get done slightly heavier spring due to winch and bumper.

You don't necessarily need a block; you can install an add-a-leaf to make up the extra height if you don't want a whole new pack.

Good lort, that's a lot of washing. I'm probably just going to do mine thoroughly every few months and then run it through the car wash a couple times in between.

    I went from a 2003 3.4 L to a 2015 3.4 L and my insurance went up like $15/month...

    Bilstein/Toytec 3" lift

The Bilstein 3" lift is the best bang for your buck. It's the cheapest quality coilover you can get. I've had that lift on 3 trucks. LR UCAs are like the cheapest quality UCAs you can get.

I forbid you to do a spacer or body lift.

OME coils are great, too, but the Bilstein setup is a couple hundred dollars cheaper and the quality is just as good, IMO

And I agree about the block: you can simply add in an extra leaf on each side for like $80 (it's included for free in the lift I linked above).

They just mean you're going to need an inch of clearance to fit that spring. An AAL will do the same as a block, but with a better ride quality. With a block, the weight of everything is all on one little metal block. With an AAL, the weight is evenly distributed over like a 2 ft. area.

I just know the Billies and Eibach springs tend to ride rougher than the OME set up which is why I suggest the OME route

I've heard that, too. I've never ridden in a truck with OME coils, so I wouldn't know. I love my Bilstein/Eibach's though

Ha I hated mine going over speed bumps or off road. But other than that they handled the weight fine and rode good. But God those speed bumps killed me every time

I need to trade my king 650lb coils for a set of 600lb coils. No one believes I'm on kings with the horrible ride quality

Anyone wanna buy some NIB Pro Comp gloss black lug nuts? $25 shipped. If not, I'm returning them to 4 Wheel Parts this afternoon.

No disrespect intended, have you tried losing some preload? I did and the ride improved greatly. I'm ok with rake, I tow a trailer fairly often.

I'm telling you if you drop the preload and get some "normal" tires it'll help a ton! I have 650lbs and it rides great! Even before I added my winch. There's another reason why they are riding rough, kings don't ride rough unless there is another issue

When I put my Kings on I got lift happy and had adjusted them to what I thought would be a full 3in. They were topped out, basically a-arms were almost at full droop. Hit a bump and it was bouncy. Felt like an idiot when I jacked it up and saw very little droop left. Dropped the preload and it rides so much better. If your preload isn't jacked maybe check pressure....

The least amount of preload you have the better it rides. Wish I could have zero but I'd rub like an mf'er!
