Yep. 5 seconds. No podium.

 

It just happened

 

Well that was an embarrassing moment

 

Yeah that was awkward.

 

Well at least the stewards are consistently inconsistent.

 

It sucks, it was an awesome run for him and I wanted him to get the podium, but it was a legit penalty. All four tires were off the track as he was passing.

 

It was legit but like everyone there said, everyone had an all four wheels off moment. Seb was all four wheels off on turn one, Sainz was all four off with his highlight pass. Kimi turned slightly into Max in the turn and to avoid collision Max drove off and passed. I think it was hard racing and Max shouldn't have been penalized for it.

 

Massive drive by Max, I cant believe they did that to the kid. Still very impressive. And FAL (f**k ALO life), cant buy a break this year. His car was strong today would have been nice to see him P6ish at the end there but Honda.

Over all not a bad race to watch if you were not watching the lead.

 

Ham was brilliant, again. 34 seconds ahead of a man in the same car with the same tires, a man who finished well off the podium and well behind Vettel. Like him or hate him just realize that you are seeing history being made.

Wtf with the Max penalty. Wtf Alonso again. Well done Carlos!

 

Ham just would have passed on the back straight. He owns that track.

 

Too bad about Ferrari reliability this year , could have been an exciting finish to the season

Wanna second what @wdb said. Carlos was looking like his old man on tarmac, just not quite enough tire left for OCO.

 

Don't feel bad... I still follow Alonso, even if the only break he can catch is a broken Honda...

 

Honda's only constant has been consistently breaking! They are saying he will get a new spec power unit in Mexico due to this failure.

 

That just means it will fail later in the race...

 

Or it won't make it through qualies.

Was listening to channel 4 UK after the race and I wish I could get that coverage here. Webba was talking about the incident and had me and my wife rolling when he said the decision was shit. The rest of the commentators were ohhh'ing. It was also done on the paddock vs a booth. Good stuff.
