I'd start by asking a question in the appropriate forum. Then I'd answer you by asking you what size tires/lift you're running and what your driving habits are.

edit - you're running 33s with a 3" lift. Thats probably why. And that heavy looking grill guard/winch you have as well.

its his first post - he'll learn.

BUT tacomas dont get the greatest gas millage. we're kinda screwed on that. Proper tire inflation, light throttle pressure at take off's and in general will help..

Take it easy on him, you use to be in his shoes too. Well maybe be a little lighter on your gas pedal foot. I have had to be that way, its hard to do I know. These guys are the best, you'll get some great info here, your in the right place.

Congrats on the new purchase! How many miles does the truck have on it? Depending on the mileage you might want to get new plugs, or give it a good treatment of seafoam just to clear up an carbon build up or gunk that might be on the injectors. What mileage are you getting now?

Why is everyone so sensitive. All I said was "I'd start by asking a question in the appropriate forum...", then I went on to answer his question for him.

Then I'm told he'll learn and to take it easy on him cause I used to be in his shoes (from someone who's been a member for two months)? Of course he'll learn, I just told him. Wheres the harm in that?

Welcome to the site and have fun with your new truck.

You're right thats so intimidating. If you have a problem with the way I answered his question after informing him to post in the correct forum then message me.

OP - I didn't mean to hurt your feelings the way it obviously hurt others. Tone is hard to determine on this. Meant nothing negative.

Your cruising speed is probably the biggest factor, if you do a lot of highway. My Scangauge tells me every 5mph above 50 mph, cuts mileage by about 1mpg.
