Speaking of rubbing, I cut out a bunch of plastic and I think I'm going to be able to avoid doing the cmc. It'll still rub at full turn, but I can live with that and I have yet to have it rub since I did my cutting last week.

If you don't plan on going offroad you'll be fine, but the first time you do it'll rub there guaranteed

If I drop it to much I'm sure it'll rub like a mofo, right now I'd say it is a little high cause my new c.v. boots lasted maybe 5k miles. Torn again

    Normal tireso_O
Mine are a really tall 285

But I'm also a 4 cylinder with a bumper and winch. No other armor

I ordered mine and they sent me the 600lb coils so they took them back and put the 650s on. I'm not sure if they messed the preload up or not. All I did was throw them on:anonymous:

See I've got a 8" wheel and it rides great. Granted I have more weight on mine, I may have to jump to 700lbs if I add more

I really want the icons but trying to wait until Black Friday. Last year I got my stage 2 on my 17 for $1500 shipped. Thanks guys for the info I am still looking around. Being my Truck has a Arb and warm 8000 winch what spring rate would be best?

The icons ride better than any other setups I have ever had!

Icons are good, as are Kings and Fox's. Basically pick a color. Only problem with that Black Friday is they may not offer 1st gens. But as per spring rate 650lbs is the minimum I'd go on yours. Maybe 700lbs if you go full skids and dual batteries on top of winch and ARB

    That’s the plan eventually!

I'd get 700lbs. It's not that bad but I wouldn't want to add preload until you have all that upfront. It'll ride better

I didn’t put the body lift on the former idiot owner did! I wanted to take it off but it made it a heck of a lot easier to clean underneath and get to things. I have replaced all body lift bolts with grade 8 stuff that best I can do for now. I appreciate the info. Don’t like the gaps but going to build a custom bumper with tire Carrier for back and move hitch up or interstate it into the bumper. It will give me way more clearance!

Depends on how far away until dual batteries and full skids. If it's a few years down the road go for 650 and jump up to 700 whenever you rebuild the shocks

It will be a few years before all that I am sure. My next thing is tear bumper, Rock sliders and some custom skids for now all that will come after I get the suspension squared away. I want to do a straight axle swap that will come after the motor blows up then a Cummins 4 bt will be dropped in with a straight axle

650s will get you buy for now until you need to rebuild the shocks.

You won’t use the annex, takes too long to set up and a PITA. As for ruggedized it’s up to you. If you plan on beating the piss out of it go for it. If not save your money

Really? No one puts their fridge or bins full of clothes in theirs?

Watching the tepui video it looks pretty easy, it was made like 5 years ago bit surely they didn't change the design to make it harder...

But I'll also be using it in the winter for hunting

It's a PITA to set up for just a night. But if you plan on staying a few days then it's worth it. But other than that it sucks. I've never seen one put up until I went to Expo East
